April has been an interesting month. The weather has felt like winter for the majority of the month and it has been hard to get motivated on my art. I have still been working with a lot of mixed media and have been enjoying the experimenting process.

Here is a commission that I made to 22 x 30 inches. It replicates another painting of mine and has the similar poppy theme, but on a much larger scale. I enjoyed the layering of materials and working the surface until it had the desired texture, value, and colors. There is also wallpaper layers hidden beneath the imagery.
